Vibro-LB.F: Anti-vibration braces for floating drywall systems with Regufoam®
The use of Vibro-LB.F anti-vibration brackets is recommended for dry-structure walls with a sufficiently high height of more than 2.5 metres. The purpose of using this anti-vibration system is to increase the dynamic stiffness of the wall system. This limits the transfer of unwanted vibration to the structural part of the building.
The use of this bracket prevents the creation of sound bridge between two walls and by this way the sound insulation of the structural noise is achieved.
Its clever construction with the insertion of an intermediate metal element, allows the restraint of both compression and tensile forces. Fastening it to the vertical stud of gypsum board does not require the use of a passing screw, it is enough to use common self-tapping screws that connect it to the metal stud.
The intermediate anti-vibration element is made of semi-enclosed polyurethane foam (Regufoam).
There are different types of hardness and density grades suitable to cover a fairly wide load range. The different material densities are color coded for ease selection. All diagrams and certificates for the mechanical and dynamic characteristic of polyurethane foam are available upon request.
At its base is equipped with oval holes to facilitate installation. The image below shows its basic dimensions:
Why use Vibro-LB.F ?
–To avoid any direct connection between the double walls and increase their stiffness.
–To prevent wall buckling during earthquakes.
–Useful when a secondary wall is applied for improved sound insulation where rigid connections will cause unwanted sound bridge.
