Product Description
The storage and use of combustible gases, such as natural gas, methane, ethane and propane, are among the risks of everyday life that should not be underestimated. For this reason, gas cartridges and liquid gas containers in the household or on the boat, as well as gas pipes and fittings, should be regularly checked for their tightness with a gas detector such as the BG40.

Thanks to its high sensitivity, the compact gas indicator BG40 records even the smallest gas leaks within just two seconds – and warns with a sensitivity of less than 10 ppm even from the lowest gas concentrations by means of optical, acoustic and vibration alarms. The acoustic alarm signals an increasing intensity of the exiting gas with increasing frequency and loudness.

A 40 cm (15.75″) flexible tubing probe allows the detection and identification of a leak in hard-to-reach and constricted areas. The gas detector is equipped with a backlit LCD display, which allows the measured ppm values to be read fast and easily at any time even in unfavorable light conditions. Further, the so-called Lower Explosion Level, abbreviated LEL, which defines the minimum gas concentration in the air at which an explosion is possible, is displayed.
