Synthetically manufactured endless polyester fibers, which are ideal as prefilters in air cleaning due to their particularly allergy-neutral properties. The synthetic fiber prefilters produced in this way are particularly tear-resistant, durable, and water-repellent. The synthetic fiber filter reliably filters light to medium odors, coarse household dust, and pet hair from the room air

• Carbon filter

The additional carbon filter, consisting of carbon, is ideal for all smokers. In addition to pollutants, this activated carbon filter effectively neutralizes tobacco odors, pet odors, kitchen odors, smoke odors, and formaldehyde and solvent odors from the ambient air. For clean air – without unpleasant odors.

• HEPA filter 

The highly efficient HEPA filters in the AirgoClean® 171 E air cleaners eliminate pollen, allergens, fine dust particles, bacteria, viruses, dust mite residues, and mold spores down to a size of 0.3 micrometers. Due to the high separation efficiency of 99.97% achieved by the AirgoClean® 171 E, filters of this filter class are used, for example, in hygiene-sensitive laboratory areas and in food production. Therefore, ideal conditions to transform your own four walls into an oasis of well-being with clean, filtered, fresh room air.

The ventilation speed and associated air cleaning performance are regulated in Automatic Mode according to air quality:

Green: Excellent air quality – PM2.5 value 0 – 35

Blue: Good air quality – PM2.5 value 36 – 116

Red: Poor air quality – PM2.5 value > 116

What does the PM2.5 value mean?

PM2.5 refers to respirable fine dust particles with a diameter smaller than 2.5 µm. Due to their small size, these fine particles are considered a health risk because they can penetrate deeper into the respiratory tract, the cardiovascular system, and the brain, where they remain and can cause damage. In the REVIHAAP project, the WHO concludes that particulate matter can lead to arteriosclerosis, affect births, and cause respiratory diseases in children, among other things.

Intelligent controlled air cleaning in fully automatic mode

In addition to manual control of the air cleaning performance in 5 stages, the AirgoClean® 171 E  has a smart “Air Quality Sensor” to respond in real time to changes in indoor air quality. The highly sensitive air quality sensor continuously measures particle pollution and detects even the smallest changes immediately—then responds immediately with adjusted air cleaning. The air and filter performance of the device is fully automatically regulated to the necessary level to remove airborne particles from the room air in the shortest possible time.
