Kit out-fitted FDR-3G…KS fire dampers represent easy way to perform installation. While still facilitate passive fire protection and prevent the spread of toxic gases, smoke and fire through compartmentalization.
Fire dampers are CE certified following the Construction Products Regulation according to EN 15650. Dampers are tested according to EN 1366-2 and classified according to EN 13501-3. Fire dampers are designed for the installations listed and described in their Handbook.
The FDR-3G…KS fire dampers are by default supplied with either a manual or an actuator mechanism. An optional supply and communication unit is also available.
The opening and closure of the damper blade can be activated remotely for actuator versions. In case of fire when the air in the duct exceeds 72 °C or 74 °C, the thermal fuse melts in both actuator and manual versions. The melting of the thermal fuse activates the closure of the damper blade automatically. The damper blade is then mechanically locked in the closed position.
The fire dampers have casings made from galvanized sheet metal. The blades are made from non-asbestos insulants and have a rubber seal for cold smoke and an intumescent seal. Intumescent seal expands in fire situation.
